Arise Africa Media Personality of the Year and Host of the Daily Report on Radio, Ms. Ify Onyegbule has launched a book, “How Did We Get Here” for Presenters, On Air Personality, Duty Continuity Announcer or you intend to come into the Broadcast industry in these various capacities on Freelance or Full time basis on how to get better at their jobs.

Onyegbule, a Publisher, Author and Activist on Women issues and professional in the Broadcast Journalism industry during the online Presentation of the book on her Facebook platform which coincided with her birthday and 20th year in Journalism.

According to the official statement and post on her social media account which says;

“For the records, it is my 20th year in Journalism and I must say I have had a jolly ride with all of the ups and downs associated with working in different capacities as Reporter, Producer, News reader, Editor and Presenter in 12 different Radio and TV stations across Nigeria, managing 2 of these as Station Manager and General manager respectively.

Meeting with different persons opened me to different lessons in the course of the journey and that has inspired this book of nuggets about 25 Mistakes That Radio Presenters Must Avoid.

Everyday we are confronted with various challenges on the job as Duty Continuity Announcers, Presenters or On Air Personalities (as they are called today), sometimes we are confused about what to do in various circumstances and when we take that step or make that move, it may be that something has gone wrong with that 1 move.

Yes, Mistakes are a part of learning but having a fore knowledge about something can help you position yourself for a better outing.

Ms. Ify Onyegbule, Author, “How Did We Get Here”
This is for you, if you are a Presenter, On Air Personality, Duty Continuity Announcer or you intend to come into the Broadcast industry in these carious capacities on Freelance or Full time basis, this book, “How Did We Get Here” will help you understand what it is to be Unique, Special and Gifted in the craft of Journalism.

You will understand why “burning out on the Job” exposes you to ridicule and you will be able to tell when the time has come for you to “take a break” or “move on” to other things.

“How Did We Get Here” will also tell you why your close family members, friends and colleagues who become bosses, focus on the job rather than your relationship with them.

Find out what my CEO in one of the Stations where I worked, told me after hearing me “mispronounce” the Title of a Monarch in South-West Nigeria, that slip during the News at Noon years ago, almost cost me my Job and you don’t want to be caught in that web!”

The CEO of Trueline Productions further states: “Not many persons believe that it is possible for you to be physically present at your duty post in the studio with your mind clearly somewhere else. I found myself in those shoes many years ago, what happened to me after that blunder will amaze you!”

Ify devotes her spare time to talking with young people in higher institutions, giving speeches, Compering Corporate events, attending conferences and seminars aimed at impacting lives. Ify loves spending time also with abandoned children at various orphanages, sharing love and gifts to mark her birthday (May 27) each year.
