To reign is to rule and exercise Authority, esp.as a king or queen. And it is also the period of time that a monarch rules a country or kingdom.
Then, of all the definitions of Glory, This one am about to share with you perfectly fits what I want to talk about;
Glory is a state of great splendor, magnificence, or prosperity.
So when we say The Reign of Glory, we are talking of the rule of the Power/Splendour/Magnificence/
Praise God!
Isaiah 9:6-7 KJV
For
unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government
shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
[7] Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end,
upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to
establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for
ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
God
made a perfect world and placed man whom he made in His likeness to
represent Him here on earth. But we all know how the devik tricked the
first Adam through Eve and took that Authority from man. When Jesus
came, He died to pay the atonement for sin, and He brought man back
where he fell from, and also took back the authority from the devil.
Colossians 2:13-15 KJV
And
you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath
he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
[14] Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us,
which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his
cross; [15] And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew
of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Matthew 28:18 KJV
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Ephesians 1:17-23 KJV
That
the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto
you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: [18]
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what
is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his
inheritance in the saints, [19] And what is the exceeding greatness of
his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty
power, [20] Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the
dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places , [21]
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and
every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which
is to come: [22] And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him
to be the head over all things to the church, [23] Which is his body,
the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
We
can see that the Glory is the result of the finished work of Jesus! His
death and most importantly, His ressurection. And there is no end to
the time of This Glory. But Jesus is in Heaven, therefore that means
that we,The Church, are the ones to exert this rule in this world on
behalf of Jesus. Thats why the scripture we read above in Isa.9 says
that 'His Government shall be on His Shoulders', Thats the body of
Christ, The Church. Glory to God. So,
1) We are the result of the ressurection of Jesus,
2) We are the Glory of God!
3) We are the ones doing the reigning because Jesus Reigns in and Through us and...
4) Our Reign Has No End.
So
how do we do it, How do we reign? Looking at the level of ignorance
amongst'believers', I wonder when we will manifest this Glory to the
World. Jesus said we are the Light of the World...
Matthew 5:14 KJV
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Are
we really living up to our calling as Light of The World? Are we truly
exhibiting and Manifesting This Glory of God to the world around us?
This is beyond 'denominations' and 'my church or your church'. This is a matter of His Church, The body of Christ.
I
want to tell you that when we live, manifest and exhibit the full
potentials God has put in us, or the Life He has brought us into through
Jesus, That is When we are truly reigning and that is True Worship.
Jesus while He was talking to the woman at the well in the book of John, explained this to us.
John 4:19-24 KJV
The
woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. [20] Our
fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is
the place where men ought to worship. [21] Jesus saith unto her, Woman,
believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor
yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. [22] Ye worship ye know not what:
we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. [23] But the
hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the
Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship
him. [24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in
spirit and in truth.
We
have always thought that Worship means to sing slow songs to God during
services. Well, Thats just one of the many ways of Worship.
In
the above conversation between Jesus and The woman, Jesus showed us the
new place of worship, not a building, not Jerusalem, not the mountain,
but in The Spirit. Thats where God is, in our Spirits, so we worship Him
from there.
We also see that the way to Worship is the way of The Truth... In Spirit and In Truth.
Now, what is the truth? Or I think the correct question is, Who is the Truth?
John 14:6 KJV
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Glory to God!
Jesus
is the Truth, so that means the way to Worship God is through Jesus,
that means that an unbeliever cannot Worship God because he doesnt know
God. Anything and everything that has breath can Praise God but not
everyone can Worship God. This is how we can have musicians in our
ministries who are not born again and we won't know because they are
musically talented and thus it is excused as being close to God. From
Today, we will see to it that out worship leaders are believers and that
they know The Word of God.
Yes because, Jesus is the Truth and He is The Word of God, as told us in;
John 1:1, 14, 16 KJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[14]
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his
glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace
and truth. [16] And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for
grace.
I
run a program in my state every month and we called it 'School of
Worship'. And The Holyghost has opened our eyes to see that Worship is
beyond singing. Music is one of the ways to express worship to God but
then, Worship is what we are created to do.
If God has called you to sing, sing the best songs
If God has called you to teach or preach, do it,
If God has called you to Dance, do it
If God has called you to make money, don't be poor, The gospel spreads thru money
If
God has called you to lead people, dont shy away from leadership or
politics, you are needed to keep laws that are favourable to the gospel.
If God has called you a doctor, be it, A Lawyer, be it, a banker, be it, infact dream of buying up banks.
If
God has called you to be a President of companies, be it, buy up
companies, we need more media houses to propagate the gospel... I can go
on and on... Whatever it is, Do what God has anointed you to do, do it
and be the best at it.... We have recieved the Fullness of Christ...we
cant be anything less. Stop the devil, dont be a sickling, cast out
devils, stop the operations of the enemy, be the restraining force
against evil Glory to God!
This my friend is true worship
This is how we manifest His Glory
This is how we Reign.
Arise!Shine! You are the Light of the World
Arise! Reign for you are the Glory of God!
