Anyanwu said the Mercy Stream Foundation
is partnering with civic Society groups, government and his organization to
train unemployed Nigerians in various entrepreneurship skills.
Anyanwu who made the announcement in
an exclusive interview at Owerri said
the gesture was to enable the unemployed graduates set up their own business.
He said that Mercy Streams
Foundation is partnering with Arise Afrika to help inculcate entrepreneurial
skills in some Nigerian youths through its learning initiative for
entrepreneurs and free skill acquisition programmes.

According to him, the programme is
aimed at creating critical mass human resources with entrepreneurial skills and
the right attitude to combat unemployment.
We hope to set up different training
centers, help young people establish their own business while those who are
already gainfully employed are taught how to open up other multi-streams of
income while on their jobs.
“poverty and inequality levels
remain unacceptably high and one of the reasons for this is the challenge of
creating the right jobs for a rapidly growing youth population”
He said that the body would also
collaborate with philanthropic organizations that had indicated interest to
support the programme, adding that this would enable the organization reach out to more people.

ABOUT THE EVENT
The event which would hold on 4th March, 2017 at KFC Owerri Owerri is a FREE skill acquisition training . There would be paper presentations from respected technocrats, educationist and civic society leaders to inspire the youths. The event has basically the youths at heart and aimed at personal, societal and National development through entrepreneurship skills.
