Born in the year 1928, into the NdeAjunwaOkporieOke compound of the Eziukwu Royal family Dynasty in NguzuEdda, EzeogoOgbonnayaUgwuwocha is a man of high an Unparalleled ambition , with some humble beginnings . He is the third son of a family of five male children , Marcus NdukweUgwuoch, KaluUgwuocha, UkpaiUgwuocha and OkoUgwuocha, born into the family of UgwuochaUgwumbaObasi and Madam UgoUgwochaUgwumbaObasi (Nee UgoOkoro) both of the Ezeukwu Dynasty.
EzeugoO,Ugwuocha attended church of Scotland Mission School Nguzu , now Nguzu Primary School from 1938-1942 where he obtained his standard six Certificate after his elementary education, he advanced to the Ezzamgbo Teacher’s training college from 1958-1959 where he obtained his Grade 3 Teachers Ceritificate. Being Purposeful with an insatiable love for educational excellence , he wanted to tow the path of the colonialist who brought western education to sub-Saharan Africa by crafting a niche for himself in the quest of helping prepare school children to greater heights. EzeugoOgbonnayaUgwuocha received his early training from these colonialist who taught him and he became infatuated by the way and Manner education has exposed and widened his horizon , he came to the conclusion that if everyone can teach each other the society will be a much better place to live . he decided to become a teacher in other to impact the knowledge he acquired from the colonialists and to make the society an amiable place to live. For him it will be a travesty to settle with the Grade 3 certificate from Ezzamgbo , for this reason from 1964-1965 he upgraded his certificate to the TC2 from Macgregor Teachers Training College Afikpo, Over the Years, his career took him to all nooks and crannies of his school district where he helped impact educational knowledge to hundreds of thousands of school children.
Even in an era when skeptics where weary , agitated , traumatized and utterly stressed out in sending their daughters to school , he was among the first teachers in Nguzu and among his peers in Edda to send his daughter overseas to study up to Masters Degree level in 1976, The statesman’s service did not just begin with and end in chalky hands in the class room or demanding and enforcing discipline in the school yard. H e was and still is a very strong leader in the community, an Elder states msn in Edda.
EzeugoOgbonnayaUgwuocha is a dedicated Christian who has served in different capacities in the Presbyterian Church, NguzuEdda.
