Theme: Nigerian Students, Leadership and the way Forward: Mind Power For Relevance.
It's important to note all over the world today, "Leadership" poses a great challenge to us and in order to tackle the challenges and proffer solutions, the  organizers of the event deem it wise to gather opinion molders, Student Union Government Presidents and their executives, secondary school prefects,educationist, technocrats, religious groups leaders, legislatures for an interactive session.
It was also opportunity to train and develop our leaders. As the illiterate of the future is the person who has refused to learn. Abraham Lincon once said " I will study and learn, perhaps my chance will come".

The summit was put together by Bureau of Student Affairs in Partnership with Arise Africa and support from Zanders Fm, Shirley Supremo Finishing Ltd, GCFN Consult and Govt House

The Student Leadership after the event signed a communique and  agreed to work together with the government in order to ensure that the youths are steered away from negative influences

Chief Ugwumba Uche Nwosu - Chief Of Staff to the Governor while addressing the student leaders on behalf of Governor Rochas said;
"Any leader who is a cult member is not a leader, leaders are descent in their speeches, they don’t speak vulgarly, leaders don’t show anger in their face, leaders are not arrogant, they are humble and gentle.
They don’t spread rumor, leaders embrace all and operate an open door policy"
There above are some of the leadership qualities enumerated by the Chief of Staff, Imo State Government House.

Other attributes and traits of a good leader which he advised them to imbibe included carefulness in handling money, the eager and zeal to make and establish people, selflessness, ability to show and lead the way, as well as the ability to give truthful, clear and verifiable information.

Ugwumba Uche Nwosu told the students that a good leader is not expected to indulge him/her in acts that could directly or indirectly pull the people he leads down, adding that when leaders set goals. They don’t draw back on them. He said even when they are angry, leaders don’t show it on their faces, rather they keep smiling to encourage people.
He thanked the organizers of the leadership seminar and called for it to be made a regular (Periodic) event for leadership attribute to be imbibed on students and all younger ones.
Nwosu used the opportunity to remind them that education was still free in the State. He called on them to always reflect on the gains of the free education in the state in order to appreciate His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha in establishing free education in the State against all odds and sustaining it in the fact of the current economic downturn in the country.
He analyzed the effect of free education on the economy of the State which he noted that by 2011 before Governor Okorocha came on board and established free education, poverty rate in the state was 57 percent but with the introduction of free education, it kept reducing until it is currently below 19 percent because parents now use the huge amount of money they could have used to pay school fees to invest in other meaningful ventures.
